Abstract:

Y-STR, DIP-STR, and SNP-STR are useful alternatives for testing the low quantity of DNA in solving the challenges in interpreting forensic genetic profiling. In an Unbalanced mixed DNA, partial DNA is often not detected due to the effect of masking by the dominant DNA. Therefore, in such cases interpretation of the results is limited. Furthermore, profiling of these specimens cannot be performed using conventional forensic genetic methods. Biomarkers including Y-STR, DIP-STR and SNP-STR perform well in detecting DNA contributes in the mixed sample. In the present research, the performance of each is evaluated separately.

Abstract:

A long-running issue in scorecard construction in retail banking is how to handle dramatically Unbalanced class sizes. This is important because, in many applications, the class sizes are very different. We describe the impact ignoring such imbalance can have and review the various strategies which have been proposed for tackling it, embedding them in a common theoretical framework. We then describe a new ’local’ method of scorecard construction which both theory and our experiments show yields superior performance to standard methods, while retaining their interpretative simplicity. We illustrate using real banking data sets.

Abstract:

In the last half century, in Iran, the development of capitalism within the framework of an oil-based economy caused the stagnation of the agricultural sector and the rapid growth of cities. This rapid growth of urbanization did not take place in a balanced way, but caused the growth of big cities and hindered the growth of small towns and villages. And despite the transformations in Iran's urban system, the image of settlement and establishment of the population and cities does not give a good picture. It is clearly clear that the rapid expansion of urbanization in Iran has turned the hope for a better future into a nightmare for millions of urban people in terms of their economic and social status. This research, using a descriptive-analytical method, tries to investigate the reflections of Unbalanced urbanization in the urban areas of Iran and the effects of this process in the spatial dimension, and finally the effects of this process in the urban network of Iran, with a scientific and argumentative perspective. According to the scientific analysis of Unbalanced urbanization, if this trend continues in Iran's urbanization, we will witness unstable social and economic development, including an increase in unequal income, resource alliance, environmental destruction, and damage to Iran's natural and cultural heritage.

Abstract:

Few novel cobalt (II) and copper (II) complexes [M (fmp)3] Cl2, [M (fmp) (bpy)2] Cl2, [M (fmp) (phen)2] Cl2 and [M (fmp) (phen) (bpy)] Cl2 (fmp=3-furan-2-ylmethylene-pentane-2, 4- dione, phen=1, 10-phenanthroline, bpy=2, 2' -bipyridine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, electronic, EPR, mass spectra and cyclic voltammetric studies. The synthesized complexes are found to be monomeric and electrolytic nature. The UV-Vis., magnetic susceptibility and EPR spectral data of the complexes suggest a distorted octahedral geometry for Cu (II) complexes and octahedral geometry for Co (II) complexes around the central metal ion. The CV profile of the complexes shows a quasi-reversible peak which indicates that the metal-ligand linkage is more covalent in nature. Spectroscopic and viscosity measurements prove that the [M (fmp) (phen)2] Cl2 complexes bind more efficiently with DNA than other complexes through intercalative mode. The difference of peak potential and electrochemical parameters between free and DNA-bound complexes shows the formation of an electrochemical active complex between synthesized complexes and DNA. All the complexes cleave the Supercoiled pUC19 DNA in vitro under the presence of reducing agent (3-mercaptopropionic acid). The in vitro antimicrobial activities of the compounds have been tested against the bacterial and fungal strains using the disc diffusion method. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values against the growth of microorganisms are much larger for metal chelates than the individual ligands.

Abstract:

Regenerators are packed bed heat exchangers which undergo cyclic alternating counter now operation. The experimental determination of the fluid-to-packing heat transfer coefficient requires the attainment of cyclic steady state operation conditions. Thermal regenerator operation is such that the system is normally asymmetric and Unbalanced. Previous interpretations of the experimental data have been focused on a symmetric-balanced mode of operation. This paper, therefore, presents the results for an asymmetric and Unbalanced regenerator. Experimental runs have been conducted on a bed of spherical shape packings for different flowrates. The heat transfer coefficient results have been correlated in a generalized analogous manner for all modes of regenerator operation by least square method. The effectiveness results show that the regenerator is more efficient when it is Unbalanced, which is in agreement with the theory of regenerators.

Abstract:

In industrial rotatory machines, different forces in rotor bearings are generated due to various impaired mechanical sources, namely bearing misalignment and nonhomogeneous mass distribution (unbalance). By precisely analyzing and diagnosing the produced patterns of bearing forces, one can determine the unbalance parameters such as quantities of masses, their distance from the rotational axis, and characteristics of corresponding parallel planes. Consequently, it will be possible to formulate pragmatic protocols according to which the maintenance engineers of rotatory systems will pinpoint properties of problematic imbalance masses and then straightforwardly balance them. In the procedure of conducting this research, several exemplary imbalance masses are deployed on a rotatory mechanical shaft and the equations of motion and forces in perfectly aligned rigid bearings are extracted. Then, by applying a neural network-oriented system the patterns of bearing forces are recognized and the characteristics of the nominal masses including magnitudes, distances from the rotational axis, angles as well as the unbalance type are determined. The accuracy of predicting 8 variables of balancing masses was 41% and after eliminating the redundant overlaps from principal components, the accuracy of predicted 5 variables of balancing masses significantly increased to 95%. Also, by implementing another comprehensive neural network system, it was shown that by exerting two separate balancing masses, the applicability of this method in balancing any faulty systems with dynamic unbalance is possible.

Abstract:

Unbalanced Multilateralism should be considered as a part of the West World’s strategic policy to confine Iran’s economic and international capabilities. Indications of Unbalanced multilateralism in Iran’s economic sanction policymaking are focused on executive mechanisms and America and EU’s legislative bodies. Although America and EU have relatively identical strategic objectives toward Islamic Republic of Iran, Iran’s economic sanction pattern has an Unbalanced nature. The most severe sanctions were in 2011, which were called ‘crippling sanctions’. The crippling sanctions mainly targeted financial system of Islamic Republic of Iran and imposed various restrictions on Iran’s economic structure. Restrictions on selling oil to other countries and the ones on receiving financial sources caused by economic transactions should be considered as indications of Iran’s economic sanction. Trends to reduce Iran’s economic sanctions have started since 24 November 2013 and they are subject to the measures that control strategic, technical and industrial capabilities of Iran within nuclear field. Although some sanctions were reduced within this period, restricting trends of Iran’s capabilities in the Unbalanced multilateralism atmosphere of the great powers have been continued. The process of imposing restriction and reducing reduction of some sanctions in a phased manner show that America, EU and Russia have taken advantage of Unbalanced multilateralism strategy toward Iran.
